Brief information about the rmeval task found elsewhere in Internet
Tags: DDM, Tivoli, runjava
The information about the rmeval domino server task is quite brief. In this article I tried to summarize what I found about it.

  • rmeval was introduced with domino 7
  • RMEval (Resource Model Evaluation) will run automatically when server operating system probes are enabled.

This I what I found in Internet sofar:

Docu from Lotusphere 2006: "Customized AME Resource Models for Domino"
  • The Autonomic Modeling Engine (AME) is available as part of the Autonomic Computing Toolkit
  • Domino 7 implements AME as the runjava task named RMEval
  • The OS Probes for Domino Domain Monitoring (DDM) are implemented as Resource Models (ie an AME application)
  • .... (For more details see sourceexternal link)

Tivoli autonomic Monitoring Engine (TAME) Resource Module plug-ins to evaluate/report on Domino and OD resources, such as CPU, memory, disk, and network utilization statistics und the data\rmeval directory. These modules enable Domino Event reporting to Tivoli Interfaces (e.g. Tivoli Enterprise Console) (sourceexternal link)

other related info found:
  • Which Domino server tasks may run automatically when Domino Domain Monitoring (DDM) is enabledexternal link
  • ND 8.5.1 Administrator Help under topic "Event handler notification methods" (concerns forwarding to RMEval events to Tivoli console)external link
