When running the command, ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(NOTES_NSD_MEMCHECK) VALUE(1), this will add the environment variable at the JOB level by default. So, this environment variable will only work for the user who
ran the command to add the environment variable.

In order for the environment variable to affect all users on the system, run the command in thusly:

ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(NOTES_NSD_MEMCHECK) VALUE(1) LEVEL(*SYS)

In order to permanently remove the environment variable, you will need to run the following command:

RMVENVVAR ENVVAR(NOTES_NSD_MEMCHECK) LEVEL(*SYS)

Though the ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(NOTES_NSD_MEMCHECK) VALUE(1) command only adds this environment variable at the JOB level, the only way to permanently remove the environment variable is to run the RMVENVVAR command at the SYS level, otherwise the environment variable will continue to show up each time the user logs on to the system
and the potential exists that the user could potentially run MEMCHECK when that is not desired.

Adding the environment variable via the ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(NOTES_NSD_MEMCHECK) VALUE(1) LEVEL(*SYS) only affects if MEMCHECK writes to the NSD file when running option 17 of the WRKDOMSVR screen.

If the notes.ini parameter of "NSD_RUN_MEMCHECK=1" is set, the MEMCHECK data should be written to the NSD in the event of a server crash or if the user runs the command "load nsd" directly from the Domino Console whether or not this environment variable is set.
