Collect Task Causing Server Crashes with Domino R5.x

Technote Number: 1096636

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in
Domino Release 5.0.5.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.5 QMR fix list:

Server - Events - Stats
SPR# GCAR4G7MQX - Fixed a problem in STATREP5.NTF where views did not show all
available fields due to a memory constraint on large servers with many
statistics being tracked. This was a regression introduced in 5.0.2c.

To prevent the crash, turn off the Collect task. If you require verification
of this crash, you should run show statistic >filename at the server console
after the server has been running for a little while. This will allow Notes
Support to verify if you are experiencing this particular crash.

Supporting Information:

When issuing a "Show Stat" command, does the Server.Task.DB field list all of
the stats, even if the stats are duplicates? Or is it a unique list and/or
subset? The Server.Task.DB statistics are stored as a text list which has a
limit of 32K.
