IMAP Server Task Uses 100% of CPU and Does Not Quit When Shut Down

Technote Number: 1092625

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in
Domino 5.0.4.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.4 QMR fix list
(available at http://www.notes.net):

Mail Server - Router - SMTP

SPR# KAGE4JQJGX - Fixed an error where the server CPU went to and stayed at
100% utilization when IMAP server process encountered a message that did not
conform to RFC822. [5.0.4]

A workaround is to delete the non-conforming RFC822 message from the mail file.
