You can choose whether mail sends multilingual mail messages in Unicode, Best Match, or if it prompts you each time to ask which format.
In standard Notes
- Click File > Preferences.
Macintosh OS X users: Click Lotus Notes > Preferences.
- Click the plus sign beside Mail, and then click Internet.
- Under Multilingual Internet mail format, click one of the available options.

- Use Best Match - Use this option if you don't think that a recipient of your mail has a mail program capable of reading Unicode fonts.
- Use Unicode and prompt or Use Match and prompt - These options cause Notes to prompt you when you send a mail message, so you can choose between Unicode and Best Match for each multilingual email you send.
