In Notes Standard
  1. Click File > Preferences
    Macintosh OS X users: Click Lotus Notes > Preferences.
  2. Click Regional Settings.
  3. Click the Change button for Sorting
  4. Optional: Select Display all sort rules to see a list of languages.
  5. Optional : If you use Unicode fonts, click Unicode standard sorting.
  6. Select the sorting language and click OK.

In Notes Basic
  1. Click File > Preferences > User Preferences.
    Macintosh OS X users: Click Lotus Notes Preferences > User Preferences
  2. Click International.
  3. Click the Change button for Sorting
  4. Optional: Select Display all sort rules to see a list of languages.
  5. Optional: If you use Unicode fonts, click Unicode standard sorting
  6. Select the sorting language and click OK.
