IBM Verse Client

It appears you cannot use the IBM Verse client on a apple device because they hard coded https:// into the server line.

In android, I can at least manually enter http://server.domain.com and connect, but with apple you cannot.

It really shouldn't be up to IBM whether a customer must pay a 3rd party for their ridiculously priced certificates.
Self signed certificates will NOT work with IBM Verse client, Traveler, and domino matrix.

Any work around anyone?

letsencrypt

sounds great.. but it's a Linux only thing.

I read through the documentation and it can't be used with windows, nor create from windows.
Nor is there any mention of installing Linux, creating the cert for Domino https services. (or Exchange for that matter) only apache.

I may be missing something here.....

Yes, the client is linux only.
Still, it allows to generate a cert in manual mode which you later will import to Domino keyring using kyrtool.
Also, a file should be served by your Domino server so Let's Encrypt servers can validate the install.

Nevertheless, I suggest checking the docs and also this list:
https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/list-of-client-implementations/2103
Specifically, https://github.com/oocx/acme.net should be of interest for your case.
