Details

Considering its orientation towards project or goal driven, most of the users expects, this to be presented in the hierarchical view seeing sections, activities and their comments under respective sub sections. However, the default view that you get for the activities under each section is not consistent and most of the times, this is results in poor customer adoption.

Following is one example of the such activities that is viewed by desktop browser

Now let us look at same in the IBM Mobile App 4.5.0 version

When activities are viewed in the on iOS / Android devices, the comments are not with their parent entries but appeared right at the top.

And to resolve these issues, we need to enhance default view to the hierarchical as in the desktop browser by modifying the Mobile application as below

1. Please download the updated ear file (refer the attachment)
2. Open the WAS admin console and locate the Mobile application.
3. Click the check box next to the app and click "Update", direct it to the file that you downloaded.
5. Once the update is complete, start the application.

Note: Do not try on the production. This should be tested on the UAT/Staging before deploying on production.

Once it is tested ok, you can then move  UI to the customization path. Please follow http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/lcwiki.nsf/xpDocViewer.xsp?lookupName=IBM+Connections+4.5+Documentation#action=openDocument&res_title=Customizing_the_user_interface_ic45&content=pdcontent

Following is the enhanced view once it is modified mobile application is deployed.
