Document purpose:
  This document provides information on Simple and Protected GSS-API Negotiation (SPNEGO) and its use in a Lotus® Connections environment. Several troubleshooting methods are also provided that are helpful when troubleshooting a Lotus Connections environment configured for SPNEGO that is not working as expected.

Time: It should take 60 minutes to read this document.

After reading this document, you should be able to:
  • Define single-sign on.
  • Describe how Simple and Protected GSS-API Negotiation (SPNEGO) is used to authenticate a user.
  • Describe how SPNEGO is used to authenticate a user in a Lotus Connections environment.
  • Configure Lotus Connections for single sign-on using SPNEGO.
  • Troubleshoot cases where single sign-on using SPNEGO is not working as expected in a Lotus Connections environment.
