Skills have been divided into:
- Foundation Enablement - Designed for all Business Partner personnel to be able to interact with customers and each other in regards to IBM Connections
- Core Technical Skills - Designed to focus on the underpinning technology that runs IBM Connections
- Infrastructure - Designed to provide deeper technical skills on the infrastructure related to IBM Connections
- Application Development - Designed to focus on advanced development skills related to IBM Connections

Note that all technical resources should have the following core skills from project delivery experience with:
- WebSphere
- Relational Databases Management Systems (DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
- Directory Servers (LDAP)
- Web Servers (IBM HTTP Server generally)
- Relevant platforms (Windows, Linux, AIX)
