Using the Notes/Domino Fix List Database
The Notes/Domino Fix List Database shows you software problem reports (SPRs) fixed in Notes/Domino maintenance releases (MRs), maintenance updates (MUs), and critical fixpacks (CFs).

You can view the fixes:
  • by Date modified
  • by Platform
  • by Product area (iNotes Web Access, Domino Off-Line Services, templates, and so on)
  • by Release (MR, MU, or CF number)
  • by SPR
  • by Technical area (Categories such as Client, Designer, Server, and so on)

You can also filter the fixes using these additional views under the Show Me section:

Planned fixes
This database also contains information about some SPRs that Lotus plans to fix in future MRs, MUs and/or CFs. These fixes are marked with:
  • A red exclamation point () in views
  • An Important Notice on the document:

Both of these items indicate that the SPR has not yet been fixed, but is currently being tested. HCL reserves the right to remove these fixes from the targeted release if they do not pass quality assurance tests. Please consider the planned fix information to be provisional. Do not base irreversible business decisions on this information until the Important Notice has been removed from the SPR document and the red exclamation point has been removed from views.

What are MRs, MUs, and CFs?
MR stands for Maintenance Release, which is a regularly scheduled update to our major releases of Notes/Domino. MU stands for Maintenance Update, which is an update issued only to fix critical problems. CF stands for Critical Fixpack, which is an unscheduled update that addresses significant issues between Maintenance Releases. You can read more about MRs and MUs in our MR/MU FAQ and in the developerWorks Lotus article, "The story behind Notes/Domino Maintenance Releases, Fix Packs, and more." You can find more information about Critical Fixpacks in our Critical Fixpack FAQ.

What are SPRs?
SPR stands for Software Problem Report. HCL receives SPRs from customers and from within the HCL organization. If you have a problem with Notes/Domino that you need to report, you should contact Lotus Customer Support. You can read more about how HCL fixes SPRs in the developerWorks Lotus article, "The story behind Notes/Domino Maintenance Releases, Fix Packs, and more."

What are regressions?
A regression is a problem that was introduced in an MR, MU, or CF and that did not exist in previous releases of that code stream. For example, a problem that appears in version 8.0.2 but did not exist in version 8.0.1 is a regression.

Viewing the database natively through the Notes client
You have the ability to view this database natively through your Notes client and to replicate a copy of the database locally. You can find instructions in the developerWorks Lotus article "Viewing developerWorks Lotus in its native Notes format." It is important to point out that the data in this application will change as HCL tests and verifies fixes. Therefore, it is your responsibility to keep your local replica up-to-date to ensure that you have current data. The definitive set of fix list entries is always contained in the Web-based Notes/Domino Fix List Database on developerWorks Lotus. All business decisions involving the fixes should be made using the Web-based Notes/Domino Fix List Database and associated data contained on developerWorks Lotus.
