Unable to Synchronize Your Notes ID, Windows OS, and Internet Password After Changing Notes ID Password

Technote Number: 1140066

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# JNON5RRNPT and has been
addressed in Domino release 6.5.1.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.1 MR fix list (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):
SPR# JNON5RRNPT - Fixed a problem where the Internet password was not synching
during authentication when an invalid ticket was passed part way through
authentication.

Supporting Information:
When a user changes their password, the process generates a "Change user
password in Domino Directory" and a "Change HTTP password in Domino Directory"
request in the Admin4.nsf of the Domino server they authenticated to while
changing the password. This request will only process on the Administration
server and is how the password synchronizes. The issue occurs after the
"Change HTTP password in Domino Directory" AdminP request is processed, the
user is still unable to authenticate using their new password. The user must
wait 5 to 15 minutes for the Domino Directory to refresh. In addition, the
Administrator must make sure that the Domino Directory is replicating so the
new Internet password is added to the "Internet Password" field on the Basics
tab of the Person document on the other Domino servers.
