Delegated User Sees End Time but not Start Time of Private Calendar Entry in Calendar View

Technote Number: 1164547

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering and was addressed in
Notes/Domino 6.5.4.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.4 and 6.0.5 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

Calendaring & Scheduling
SPR# APAI5WQSSQ - Fixed a problem where Private calendar entries were
displaying the end time in the Calendar view. This regression was introduced in
6.5.1.

The issue occurs under the following scenarios:

Notes 6.5.1 Client and Domino 6.5.1 Server and Mail6.ntf template design from
6.5.1
Notes 6.5.1 Client and Domino 6.5.1 Server and Mail6.ntf template design from
6.5

The issue cannot reproduced under these scenarios:

Notes 6.5 Client and Domino 6.5 Server and Mail6.ntf template design from 6.5
Notes 6.5 Client and Domino 6.5 Server and Mail6.ntf template design from 6.5.1

Workaround: Use free time / Scheduler to look up the start time of the private
entry. You can right-click the private entry and select the option, Show Time
Slots. This gives a good indication of how long the private entry is.

Steps to reproduce issue:

1. Make UserB the Calendar Manager of UserA's mail file by doing the following:
a. In UserA's mail file select Tools -> Preferences. Select the 'Access &
Delegation' tab, then the 'Access to Your Mail & Calendar' tab.
b. Click on the 'Add Person or Group' button.
c. In Section 1, select "Enter or choose a user/group", and add UserB to the
name field.
d. In Section 2, select "Only Calendar and To Do's".
e. In Section 3, select 2nd option, "Read, create, edit or delete any Calendar
Entry or To Do".
f. Click OK to save added people.
g. Click OK to save Delegation Preferences.

2. Have UserA open his/her mail file and create a Meeting Invitation and
enable the "Mark Private" option.
3. Repeat step 2 for each of the Calendar entry types that contain time
fields, i.e., Appointment and Reminder, making sure all have the "Mark Private"
option enabled.
4. Have UserB open UserA's mail file and switch to the Calendar view.

Results: Calendar entries display the end time in the Calendar view.
