Character Attributes Are not Inherited from Rich Text Field that Is in MIME Format

Technote Number: 1174830

Problem:
This issue occurs in cases where the Rich Text field which is the source of the
inheritance is in MIME format.

This issue was reported to Quality Engineering and has been fixed in Domino
Designer 6.0.5 and 6.5.4, by the introduction of a Notes.INI parameter called
Keep_Formatting_In_MIME_Format.

Setting the parameter to 1 will enable the fix. For example:

Keep_Formatting_In_MIME_Field=1

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.5 / 6.5.4 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

Design
SPR# MYAA5Z52ZN - Character attributes were not inherited from rich text fields
when creating a document via the web. This fix requires the notes.ini
"KEEP_FORMATTING_IN_MIME_FIELD". This regression was introduced in 6.0.
