DWA: How to Disable GZIP Compression - 'Compress HTTP Response Data' Option Does not Work

Technote Number: 1155957

Problem:
Workaround: In order to disable GZIP compression by the Domino server, add the
following line to the server's Notes.ini file:

iNotes_wa_GZIP_Disable=1

This issue has been addressed in Domino Web Access (DWA) releases 6.0.4 and
6.5.2. You can now successfully disable GZIP compression via the Server
Configuration document (by opening the Server Configuration document and
switching to the Domino Web Access tab, then deselecting the checkbox for
"Compress HTTP Response Data" in the Other Settings section).

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.4 and 6.5.2 MR fix lists
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

Customization
SPR# MOSI5UXMD5 - GZip compression can now be disabled in the server
configuration doc. This regression was introduced in 6.5.1.

Note: The "Compress HTTP Response Data" field is visible in the Server
Configuration document, only if viewed from a Notes 6.5.x Client.

This issue is also documented in the Notes/Domino 6.5.1 release notes.
