Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus software Quality Engineering and has been
addressed in Domino 6.0.3 and 6.5.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.3 MR fix list (available at
http://www.lotus.com/ldd):
SPR# PBIT5MD9Z3 - Fixed a problem where rich text fields that were
programmatically added to a document would not be indexed if the rich text item
was the last one added to the note. Also, if there were multiple rich text
items on the note with non-rich text items added in-between them, the non-rich
text items would not be properly indexed.
Workaround: Re-saving the R5.x-created documents in Domino 6.x resolves the
