Forms and Subforms Originally Created in Notes R4 Can Cause Crashes on Client and/or Designer in Notes/Domino 6.x

Technote Number: 1111035

Problem:
The Client crash issue was reported to Lotus software Quality Engineering in
Software Problem Report (SPR) #FMEGEZAN9 and has been addressed in Notes 6.0.3
& 6.5.

Excerpt from the Fix List for Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 6.0.3
Maintenance Release (MR):

SPR# FMEG5EZAN9 - Fixed a crash when closing documents that have sections. This
regression was introduced in 6.0.

The Designer crash has been reported to Lotus software Quality Engineering in
SPR #MGAN5VVMAS. This issue has been recreated in Notes 6.x (6.0.x and 6.5).

To avoid the Client crash issue in 6.0.x releases prior to the fix:
Using a Designer client of 6.0.3 or 6.5 (or later), create a new form / subform
and copy and paste in the design from the original design element. Note,
however, that the Designer client crash issue can still occur in this newly
created form.

To avoid the Designer crash issue:
Do not cut or delete unwanted problematic sections. Copy the desired content
of the form / subform into a new design element, or recreate the form from
scratch.
