Technote Number: 1230991

Problem:
On the Domino server, this will look like low level memory allocation failing,
then the crash will occur.

The issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR #ASCR6LVBZ6 and has been
fixed in Domino release 7.0.2, Domino 6.5.5 Fix Pack 2 (FP2) and Domino 6.5.6.

Excerpt from the Lotus Domino Release 6.5.6 fix lists (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):
SPR# ASCR6LVBZ6 - Prevent a crash caused by a corrupted entry in an internal
table under low memory conditions.

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.

If you are running release 6.5.5 FP2, 6.5.6 or 7.0.2 and are experiencing what
looks to be this crash, please report the crash to IBM Support. A crash with a
similar stack has been seen in release 7.0.2.

Please note, previous hotfixes were made available for this crash and were
later determined to be ineffective fixes. If you obtained a fix for this crash
prior to August 8, 2006, you must obtain a new test fix by contacting IBM
Support, or upgrade to Domino release 7.0.2 or release 6.5.6.
