How to vary the time for which a changed Internet password is cached

Technote Number: 1084375

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering as SPR# AMOS5C7M5T, and
was addressed in 6.0.

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.

Applying the notes.ini parameter "http_pwd_change_cache_hours=x" where x is the
number of hours for which the old password is to be cached. During this period,
both old and new passwords are valid, assuming the change has replicated to the
server being accessed.

Supporting Information:
Currently there is no caching of the old password when Single Sign On (SSO) is
implemented.
The field "Allow Users to Change Internet Password over HTTP" in the Password
Management tab of the Security Settings document must be set to Yes.
