Notes client does not display attachment names properly when Content-Disposition in MIME has a whitespace after filename

Technote Number: 1136850

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# PAZR5QTJLZ and has been
addressed in Notes/Domino 6.0.4 and 6.5.2. This issue also occurs in the Notes
7.0 client and has been reported as SPR # SRNS6H6HZH. A fix for the 7.x
codestream is currently under investigation.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.4 / 6.5.2 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

MIME
SPR# PAZR5QTJLZ - The Notes 6 client does not display attachment names properly
when Content-Disposition in MIME has a whitespace after the Filename. This
problem has been fixed in 6.0.4 and 6.5.2 and was a regression introduced in
6.0.

Workaround: Convert the incoming message to Notes Rich Text, to display the
filenames properly.

Supporting Information:
According to RFC 2183, there is no syntax standard for the Content-Disposition
--> filename parameter, as shown in this excerpt below:

In the extended BNF notation of [RFC 822], the Content-Disposition header field
is defined as follows:

disposition := "Content-Disposition" ":"
disposition-type
*(";" disposition-parm)

disposition-type := "inline"
/ "attachment"
/ extension-token
; values are not case-sensitive

disposition-parm := filename-parm
/ creation-date-parm
/ modification-date-parm
/ read-date-parm
/ size-parm
/ parameter

filename-parm := "filename" "=" value

Notice that even the excerpt uses a whitespace between "filename" and "=".
