Problem:
A workaround is to turn on Document Preview and click the "Move to Folder..."
Action button from within the Inbox view instead of in the document window.
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering, and was addressed in
Notes 4.5.4 Client and Notes 4.6.1 Client.
Excerpt from the Notes 4.5.4 Fix List:
SPR# CKAC392S3M - Fixed a problem in which the Navigate Next Unread button
skipped a document after moving a document into a folder, for instance, while
reading one's mailfile.
Note: This issue was also addressed in Notes 5.0.6 Client and Notes 6.0 Client.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.6 QMR fix list:
Client UI - Views & Folders
SPR# GFLY4N8RGU - Fixed a problem which would occur when reading mail and using
Move to Folder, documents were intermittently skipped. This regression was
introduced in 4.5.4 and 4.6.1.
Supporting Information:
To turn on Document Preview, select View, Document Preview at the view level.
Steps to Reproduce Problem:
1. Open your mail file.
2. Open the first item in your Inbox.
3. Resize both your Inbox and the currently open document so that you can see
both clearly.
4. Make the document window active.
5. Click "Move to Folder..." from the Action bar and choose a folder to move
the document to. Select Move.
NOTICE: The document you just Moved is no longer in your Inbox window and the
highlighted document in your Inbox has changed to the next document. HOWEVER,
the document window does NOT show this newly-highlighted document; you continue
to see the document that you just "Moved". Pressing F9 does NOT properly
refresh the document window.
6. Thinking that you should go to the next document, you click "Navigate Next"
(the plain down-arrow on the SmartIcon bar.)
NOTICE: Notes SKIPS over the highlighted document and proceeds to the one after
that in the Inbox.
