HTTP crash on GenerateShimmerJS when Domino Web Access loads Outline information from mail file

Technote Number: 1214321

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# VCAL6DDSMF (APAR#
LO08742) and has been fixed in Domino 6.5.4 Fix Pack 2 and Domino 6.5.5. Refer
to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.4 Fix Pack 2 and 6.5.5 fix
list (available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

SPR# VCAL6DDSMF - This fix checks for a valid return when adding computed url
to an outline.

In this particular case, the HTTP crash is triggered by an invalid value within
the outline entry. When Domino Web Access retrieves outline information from
the user's mail file, it converts the outline information into JavaScript and
HTML for display in a Web browser by using the GenerateShimmerJS method. This
process is done one at a time for all outlines. Because of mail database
corruption for this one user, the value of the outline entry resulted in
invalid data. When the Domino server makes the call to convert the outline
information, the invalid value caused Domino Web Access to throw an exception
and trigger a crash.
