Certain Double Byte Characters Are Incorrect in Long Document with HTML Rich Text Field on Web

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in
Domino 5.0.6.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.6 QMR Fix List:

SPR# MTAA4ML8MD - Fixed a problem which occurs after saving a document which
contains any text fields with long text data (over 35K) including multi-byte
characters. Some of the multi-byte characters will be displayed as garbage
text. Supporting Information:

The following is more detail on the problem:

1. Create a form with a create a Rich Text Field that has the "Using HTML"
option enabled in Field Properties dialog box.
2. Create a document using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x or 5.x.
3. Enter long double byte characters into the Rich Text Field.
4. Launch the Notes client, open the Document Properties dialog box for this
documents. The Rich Text Field is divided and double byte characters in the
beginning of each divided fields are garbled.
