Technote Number: 1179128

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# JPIU648LDM and has been
addressed in Domino 6.0.5 and 6.5.4.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.4 and 6.0.5 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

Compact
SPR# JPIU648LDM - Fixed a server crash when using compression.

Supporting Information:
This may have been introduced by SPR# RBRE5RELJQ, which was addressed in Domino
6.0.2 CF2.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.2 CF2 fix list (available
at http://www.lotus.com/ldd):

Networking & Dialup
SPR# RBRE5RELJQ - Fixed an intermittent server crash when using the option to
compress network data. This problem occurs in the form of two different types
of crashes: one occurs when attempting to access the decompression buffer after
it has been freed, and the other crash is a panic that the data buffer is too
small to perform the decompression.

As a workaround, disable network compression.
