Problem:
This issue has been addressed in Notes/Domino 6.0.5 and 6.5.4.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.4 and 6.0.5 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):
Client UI
SPR# DHAN5RGUNG - Fixed a problem were subscriptions would not last for more
than a few days. This regression was introduced in 6.0.
In some cases, customers have been able to work around the issue by renaming
the Headlines.nsf database in the Notes data directory. When the Notes client
is restarted, a new Headlines.nsf is automatically created.
Example of Steps to Reproduce Issue:
1. Open a Notes 6 database you would like to subscribe to (such as a mail
file).
2. From the menu select Create > Subscription.
3. Provide a name for the subscription and then select to retrieve "All
Incoming Mail".
Even though the example above is with a mail database, the issue has also been
seen in an application database that retrieves "All" where all new or modified
documents
will be retrieved.
The first day you subscribe to the database, you will receive subscriptions
just fine. The status for your subscription reads "No Error".
The next day when you look at the headlines database to check your
subscriptions you will notice you did not receive any for the day and the
status for your subscription will be "Retrying: File Does Not Exist". You
check the database you have subscribed to and can see you have received new
messages; however, they are not retrieved in the headlines database. More >
