SPRTechnote

AdminP error, 'This request cannot be executed in a domain other than the one in which it was composed'

Technote Number: 1210812

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# ETHU6DESWF, and has been
fixed in release 6.5.5.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.5 MR fix list (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

Administration
SPR# ETHU6DESWF - New AdminP requests originating in another domain, may not
run in Cross domain with an error indicating the request "cannot be executed in
a domain other than the one in which it was composed". This problem has been
corrected with this fix.

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.

The administration process provides the ability to support some actions across
a number of different domains in an enterprise. These requests include user
rename, user delete, create replica, etc. The requests are originated in one
domain and, when necessary, are mailed to the other domain (for the purposes of
this document, the other domain will be called xdomain). When the requests are
running on the xdomain, some additional checks are performed to ensure that
these requests are legitimate and should be processed.

It was found that some newer requests were not included during the check for
validity of cross-domain support. As a result, the error message was generated
indicating that this request did not originate on the same domain.
