SPR # CSAO89XDAD fixed in 8.5.3 releaseRecommended Release (14.0 FP3)

Product Area: Client Technical Area: Install/Setup/Registration Platform: Cross Platform

Regression in 8.5

SPR# CSAO89XDAD - The argument USENOTESFOREMAIL can be used in a silent install command line to specify whether or not to set Notes as Windows' default mail client. Prior to 8.5.2, this argument expected an integer value (i.e. setup.exe /s /v"USENOTESFOREMAIL=0"). In 8.5.2 and going forward a string value is expected, so a NULL string is required for install to not make Notes the default mail client (i.e. setup.exe /s /v"USENOTESFOREMAIL=\"\""). Notes will be set as the default mail client by silent install if this argument is not used.
