SPR # SKAI6SZJHA fixed in 10.0 releaseRecommended Release (14.0 FP1)

Product Area: Server Technical Area: Mail Routing Platform: Cross Platform

SPR# SKAI6SZJHA - This fix addresses an issue with the use of two Router features together. If Router/SMTP -> Restrictions and Controls -> SMTP Outbound Controls "Allow messages only to recipients in the following Internet domains or hostnames" is enabled for certain domains (for example internal.company.com) , and if a global relay host is defined in Router/SMTP -> Basics -> "Relay host for messages leaving the local internet domain:" (for example relay.internal.company.com), then mail sent to any internet domain (for example user@example.com) via the relay host will be allowed.
This fix excludes the relay host name and any mx host list names defined for that relay host from this outbound controls checking. The result in the example defined above would be that the mail to user@example.com would be denied.
Note that this change also applies to the field "Deny messages to recipients in the following Internet domains or hostnames:"
Should this change in behavior cause an unintended issue for a customer, this fix also provides a notes.ini to revert the behavior. RouterUseRelayHostInSMTPDestCheck=1
