SPR# YPHG7QPCTQ - Domino HTTP CPU spike after upgrade from 656 to 8.0 or later. We had upgraded an internal character set translation module that required additional multi-threaded access control compared to the previous version of that module. This caused excessive delays in the use of that character set translation code. The fix was to come up with a new code flow that allowed us to remove the bottleneck thread synchronization that was slowing things down.
