With this fix, users no longer need to activate the rich text area (MS DHTML editing control) by clicking. That is, the users can use the rich text area without activating. After MS patch KB912945 is applied in the local (client) OS, the users need to activate Active X control by clicking the area of Active X control in order to use it. In DWA 6.x, the rich text editor is implemented using MS DHTML editing control Active X. So, after MS patch KB912945 is applied, the end users need to activate by clicking the rich text area before enter text in it.
