You can use the ruler to view and set margins. You use the triangles to set right and left margins for paragraphs and for the document itself.
If you can't see the ruler, click View > Ruler and it will appear.
The ruler behaves the way most rulers do.
Here are some functions you may not know about:
Set a tab
- Put your cursor in front of the text you want to tab.
- Drag the bottom triangle.
- Press Tab.
Set the tab stops
- For left tab stops, click where you want a left tab stop (a marker appears on the ruler).
- For right, center, or decimal tab stops, right-click (Macintosh users, Ctrl+click) ruler, and select a specific setting from the menu.
Delete a tab stop
Right-click the tab stop and click Delete Tab. |
