If the teamroom or application you're working in has an image resource library, then you can save and reuse images in that teamroom or application. With an image resource library, you can insert image resources into documents, add new images to the image resource library, rename images, and delete images from the image resource library.

Insert an image resource into a document

  1. Open a document in edit mode.
  2. Click in the document where you want the image.
  3. Click Create > Image Resource.
  4. From the Database list, select the database or application that contains the image you want to insert.
  5. In the Insert Image Resource list, click the name of the image file.
  6. From the Image Type list, select the type of image, or choose All Images.
  7. Click OK to display the image in the document.

Insert an image resource from a file you created

  1. Open a document in edit mode.
  2. Click in the document where you want the image.
  3. Click Create > Image Resource.
  4. Click New.
  5. Enter the entire path of the directory where the image is located in your directory, then click Open.
  6. Click OK to display the image in the document.
Note: This option is available only when Database is set to Current database.

Rename an image resource

  1. If you have not already, click Create > Image Resource.
  2. In the Insert Image Resource list, click the image resource that you want to rename.
  3. Click Rename, and then type a new name.
Note: Specify an alias if there is a chance that the image resource could be renamed. An alias allows you to change an image resource name without rewriting formulas that reference it. An alias also remains the same if an application is translated or modified. To specify an alias, after the image resource name, type a vertical bar (SHIFT+\) followed by the alias name. For example, ImageName|ImageAlias.

Delete an image resource from the library

  1. If you have not already, click Create > Image Resource.
  2. In the Insert Image Resource list, click the image resource that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete, and the click Yes to delete the image.
