For new comers, if the Editable Area doesn't show up, then you need to click on the application layout control and turn on the landing areas for left, right, middle (there are others too).

How do you add the page content to the layout center panel

In the video (at about 7 minutes) you drag a panel into the middle panel and drop it between the pencil icon and the green dot. How do you do this? When I try, nothing happens. Can you please explain in detail, or show some of the resulting code?

Alternatively, can you point to any documentation about editable areas in custom controls and how they word?

Yes, the sample db would be very helpful. It's hard to understand what code snippets are being dropped into the controls without the actual nsf.

Can you share the sample db you created in the demo please? I don't really understand the design definition part of the Application Layout control, although I am new to xpages! thanks
