Re: CKEditor in XPages in Notes/Domino 8.5.2

FYI: The Image toolbar button used by XPages in Domino 9.0.1 FP2 is called IbmImage (and not Image).

Re: CKEditor in XPages in Notes/Domino 8.5.2

Has anyone tried customising the "filebrowserBrowseUrl" or "filebrowserImageUploadUrl" config settings via Dojo attributes in the Rich Text editor? I'm able to change other settings this way, but changing these two don't give any effect on the editor.

This editor needs some work, the documentation is not good enough. At the moment it is much, much easier to use the TinyMCE editor, which is actually better as well. Just drop it onto a domino form and link it to the body field, done. http://www.tinymce.com/

How do you install this? Are there instructions somewhere?

How to remove 'Notes Doclink' from paste options?

Are there any ways to remove this option? The majority of our users do not use Notes clients so this is just confusing for them.

Robert, in case you haven't found out yet on your own, I tried just doing a drop in replacement of the CKE 3.4 files and that didn't seem to work. I believe there are some modified/extra files in the version that ships with 8.5.2. We needed some functionality in a plugin included with 3.4 and so we have tried adding that plugin to the plugins directory with some success, but it would be better if updating the editor was more straight forward.

Does anybody know if installing a later version of CKEditor, 3.4, for example, will cause any issues with Domino 8.5.2?

ok, these Wiki comments seem to be useless as well, IBM just stripped out important HTML data from my comments.

There is another hugh problem with the feature that you can paste in an image. it does not work at all

If I put an image in the clipboard and paste it into the CKeditor a "broken image" is displayed. when saving the document the image is stored as

Field Name: Body

Data Type: MIME Part

Data Length: 180 bytes

Seq Num: 1

Dup Item ID: 0

Field Flags: SIGN SEAL

"MIME-Version: 1.0

Content-Type: text/html; charset="utf-8"

"

e.g a referense to a .png file on my local disc.

The file is never stored in the Richtext field, only the reference, which is totally useless.

I have not found a way to paste an image in the CKeditor from a webbrowser.

I could not get the Validation Required to work.

Could someone please provide a way to validate if the ckeditor is "dirty".

Also, if I enter something in the CKeditor and another field on my form does not pass valdation, then the entered values in the CKeditor are lost.
