IBM Connections Cloud uses the same audio and video technology found in IBM Sametime 9. Sametime 9 A/V is based on the H.264 SVC technology. SVC stands for Scalable Video Coding, which enables efficient encoding of video that can be realized at different resolutions, frame rates, and quality. 

IBM Connections Cloud video chat uses H.264 SVC for Video and Siren-SAC for Audio. Connections Cloud supports Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation to automatically adjust bandwidth utilization in response to changing network conditions, while providing the best possible user experience.
