Richtext field and pasting image from clipboard - possible ?

Hi all !

I've noticed that when attempting to paste an image from the clipboard into a richtext field using IE, it doesn 't work..

But, using FF I'm able to paste the image into the richtext editor.

But, when saving the document and opening this document in the Notes client,  I can't see the pasted image, only a placeholder..

Is this how it should be, meaning it can't handle pasting of images from the clipboard ?
Or, is there some way to make this work ? Some method of getting to the pasted image ?

Any tips / information / links / etc would be greatly appreciated !!
Thanks !

Best regards,
Petter Kjeilen

There is no API for this in most browsers. The closest you're going to get is by using an applet (maybe flash).

Applets that may help you along:

Re: Richtext field and pasting image from clipboard - possible ?
Hei Tommy,

Thanks for your feedback on this. I just assumed that since it was possible to paste the image from the clipboard into the CKEditor (using FF), it would be able to get to the
pasted image info as well.

ok, I just have to instruct my users to save the image as a file first, and then upload the file instead.

Thanks !
