Link to shared drive, possible?

 Hi-
 
I'm developing an intranet application for my place of employment using xPages. A few of my clients have asked for a link that would open a particular directory in our windows environment, which is within the same network. 
 
Something like this:  \\TestServer\HR\Planning\2013
 
Thank you for any encouragement/discouragement you can provide.

Thanks. The solution you linked to (pasted below) looks like the ticket. 
 

Setup IIS on the network server and change the path to http://server/path/to/file.txt

EDIT: Make sure you enable directory browsing in IIS
