Great question. I believe soft deletions are not supported by XPages?

 

When I created a trash view with deleted documents (this is possible) but try to open/access a document i get the error: 

 

NotesXSPViewEntry.getDocument() = null 

 

 

I believe, you can use soft deletions with XPages and create an XPage showing soft deleted documents - but you can *not* restore soft deleted documents from XPages.
