Rich Text b\w Xpages and Notes Forms - What's happening?

Ok - so I have a basic Notes form with a rich-text field (editable, best-fit for OS) that is bound to an xPage rich-text control called "description1".  The field, named "description" initially appears in the field choices when building a new view.

After I enter data in the xpage including a description, that data does not appear either in the view in notes or the bound view control on an xPage.

The field choices available when building a view have changed.  "description" is no longer available but has apparently been replaced with "form" and "MIME_Version".

I went back and reviewed how 8.5.2 Web discussion template is setup and did what I think is the same thing.  Different results.

I feel like I am in an xPages twilight zone . . . It seems to be it should be simple.  Am I missing something?

Thanks

Hi William,

maybe the option "Store content as HTML and MIME" on your field properties in the form is enabled.

Hi Sven.  Thanks again for the response.  After some research and testing with the 8.5.2 discussion template, it turns out that it behaves the same way.  I did have the option disabled to store in MIME - HTML format.  Important thing is despite being unable to see the rtfield in the field index, the data is still resident in the form and can be accessed.

Thanks for your response.
