Item Not Found Exception -- any further ideas?

Got some docs in a view panel. When I click on the links in that view to open the docs, get "Item not found exception." (oh how helpful, it's a computer shouldn't it *know* which item, lol)

Any ideas what I should be looking for? Have already tried the following:

- clean and rebuild the project;
- strip everything out of the xpages form the docs are trying to launch in and just have a completely blank form with nothing happening;
- checked that everything involved not hidden from web;
- checked readers fields rights;
- tried telling the Notes form that it was linked to xpages form;

  (the URLs that it's trying to display look like this:
www.sample.com/timesheets.nsf/%24%24OpenDominoDocument.xsp?documentId=932F9E8EAFE93B6085257A710012AE19&action=editDocument

yep, I've tried manually replacing the %24%24 with two question marks.

 Do you get the error when you just preview the Form XPage? (Not launched from the view?)

Have you enabled the Applications Properties "Display XPages Runtime Error" to get a complete stack trace?

Can you post the stack trace here if you can't tell what item it cant find.

It's $$ not two question marks

Maybe try putting in the name of the xPage instead though
