Hi, I have an issue with an application’s views.

I made some xpages with a viewpanel with categorized columns and clickable links to open docs and two navigators to present data.

Each panel refers to a view that in the worst case take up to 4 seconds to open in the classic client BUT when I open the xPage based on that view the load time grow up a freaking 20 seconds (average) with peaks of 33sec!

So the usability go in the trashcan. :-(

Now, is there some way to optimize load times for these xpages? Or to look at what is going on so I can fix it?

There are several ways to influence the performance of viewpanels but first you should find out why the view you are using takes that long to load.

How many documents does the view display?

How many columns does the view contain?

Maybe it would be an good idea to create a seperate xpage view displaying subset of documents / columns. Depending on the wishes ofcourse.

Properties you could take a look at :

All properties > Data > dataCache
