Round-trip editing of attachment

Is there anything in XPages that allow round-trip editing of attachements? Something like Quickr. Even in the notes client mail, when someone sent me a word file or spreadsheet I can just double-click it > it prompts me to Open, Save etc (I choose Open) > It's launched and open with the default program I assigned to that type of file (eg: if it's a word file, my Microsoft Word will open it) > I do a bit of changes, save it and close > and then next time I double-click the attachment from the mail again, the previous changes that I made will still be there. Thus saving the need to download the file to local directory > open it, edit and save > re-upload back.

If anyone has any experience with above request kindly share with me. Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge

there is no OLE/2 support for XPages.

Not sure how it worked with Quicker.

In that case how am I suppossed to have a document management system?

Our company have been providing solution to our customer is such way for them to manage all sorts of their documents (not Notesdocument) from powerpoint slides, word documents and spreadsheets because it's easier. Is there any free workaround or maybe if this feature will be available to xpages soon?

There has been a network or file permission error. The network connection may be lost.

I've tried the thing suggested by Fredrick but I got an error. I've posted this on the openntf website but thought if I could get results from this forum too.

The exact error is as above picture “There has been a network or file permission error. The network connection may be lost. (http://…/testdoc.doc)”

On my first run after following the instruction (the only thing I did differently is removed the “LOCK” from the “domino” entry), everything works fine (can open, edit something, and save successfully).

Then I remove everything (including the webdavconfig.nsf and the OSGI plugin from the server) and try to redo everything from scratch again (because I want to document how to configure it in my environment), I got the above error. I try to retrace my steps if there's anything I did wrong but I'm totally lost.

When I got the above error, the server console shows the following:

[0D08:000B-0F1C] 19/03/2014 09:41:19 AM HTTP JVM: CLFAD0211E: Exception thrown. For more detailed information, please consult error-log-0.xml located in C:/IBM/Domino/data/domino/workspace/logs
[0D08:000B-0F1C] 19/03/2014 09:41:19 AM HTTP JVM: CLFAD0246E: Exception occurred servicing request for:/webdav/domino/692580007537ED6448257C9F003050C4/testdoc.doc - HTTP Code: 500. For more detailed information, please consult error-log-0.xml located in C:/IBM/Domino/data/domino/workspace/logs

Anybody knows how to solve this? It's not like the file is read-only. I've gone through days trying to correct this thing.
