The only way you can control the destination for a file
The only way you can control the destination for a file when using a browser, is using something like Flash, Java, Silverlight etc. Which the user has to explicitly trust.

  You cannot do this with regular web browser code due to security, imagine if you visited a website and it created a windows registry file without the user giving permission etc.

This is the same for any server, Domino, Websphere, PHP, node.js, Apache whatever.
