combobox - default value doesnt like @text

hi all, when i try to put following into the default value for the combobox:
 
@text(@year(@now()))
or
@text(2011)
 
i get error 500 HTTP Web Server: Command Not Handled Exception
 
However if i put "2011" it works fine.  The choices that I have in the combobox are

2008
2009
2010
2011
 
 any help appreciated.

It's @Text (capital T)

woops, thank you , maybe that explains why i had problems with @dblookup as well
