Is it just me or do other's xpages just look like lots of computed fields..

...outputting code-generated xhtml?
 
I've done a fair bit of php in the past so using server side scripts to dynamically generate the page's no big deal.
 
Just wondering - what's your page look like?   Am I going in the wrong direction?

Not sure what your questions is,
yes some of my xpages contain computed values and a lot of other stuff.
 
when bulding an xpage in DDE it is component based, without the components you will have no smooth access to the api and no access to domino data
You can put your code inside the component events or you can use dojo and java to do it.
 
 
want less code, check out the extlib on openntf.

It wasn't a questions as such, just a point for discussion.   Most of my xpages tend to mainuplate data from multiple sources so there's a fair few javascript libraries in the background that do the processing then squirt it out as html.
 
Just wondered what others were up to?
