Hi all ¡

I've a great doubt and I hope you can help me:

Actually we've an Xpage application deployment in websphere portal 6.1 like a link to an url of my domino-xpage application(8.5.1 FP5 version) and I wonder how can I deploy the application efficiently or what is the perfect way to introduce an XPage application on my Websphere portal server.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards ¡¡

Re: XPage application in Portal
 Hi Manuel.

Currently there is no supported (or indeed technical) way to physically 'deploy' an XPages application to a Portal Server (that I am aware of). You should investigate using 'iWidgets'. iWidgets will allow you to make an xpage into an artifact that is consumable within portal, and can participate within the portal framework (e.g. publish and receive events & data).

In Domino Designer iWidgets are called 'components', under the composite applications branch in the navigator. In your existing XPage application simply create a new Component, that component can then be consumed by the Portal Server which will result in the XPage being rendered within Portal.

Hope this helps.

Re: XPage application in Portal
Dan,

thanks a lot for the advice ¡¡¡

I'll take the path of your advice and keep on investigating the way you tell me.

We suppose that the best way to "deploy" an xpage application, isn't as a link in portal.

Best regards ¡
