I'm banging my head here trying to work this out, and it's going to be incredibly simple I know!

 

I have created a custom control which has a single text field on it, along with a computed field whose value changes based on what is in the text field.  I have the basics of the custom control working but can't figure out how to link the custom controls text field with a field on the current document.  I want to be able to use this field across xpages where the field name will be different each time.

 

Newbie question I know, but I can't find the solution anywhere!
