Does anyone have examples or has found some documentation on the object data source.

the only information I know is this short reply from Niklas Heidloff.
But I do not know whether there is already an example available...

more information can be found in the XPages Ext Lib Documentation.
The file has the name "xe_objectData.html" listed in controls section. It is NOT available in the online documentation.
