Andy,
This is tricky, indeed, and very badly (NOT) documented. I had to find out myself by trial and error:
Go to the application properties in Designer, to the XPages tab, and on the bottom left, change the default for the combobox "server persistance": set it to "Keep only the current page in memory".
This would make ik work.

Hi Pascal, tried, didn't seem to work. I wonder if I need to restart the server or anything silly like that. Thanks anyway.
