xPages - InBuilt Camera

All,

Is it possible to use inbuilt camera ( desktop / laptop but not MOBILE )  to develop video conference application using xPages?

You'd have to have some serious chops though...  there's no native browser support for live video capture that I'm aware of so you'd likely have to work that out first and then plug that into a web application.  would be a very daunting project.  Look at google hangout. That's basically what you're wanting but they require some local software to be installed I think I remember.

Howard - 

the original poster mentioned using the a desktop/laptop camera so I assumed video rather then just grabbing a picture.  Maybe I'm wrong.  Does teamstudio do something with Videos?

 

For pictures on mobile - that capability is now built into IOS.  So any Xpages app can get a picture natively.  Really really nice!!
